THE ENCHANTRESS' TRUE NATURE-"The Petals Fall"-A Beauty and the Beast inspired song

Beauty and the Beast (1991) is a classic for any fan of Disney. But the Enchantress is an interesting character indeed. In my personal opinion, she is the true antagonist of the story. Sure, Gaston is an a**hole, but at least he doesn't turn children into teacups. The jerkwad prince got turned into a beast for being cruel to an old lady, which I suppose is valid. However, all of the people who lived in the castle had to suffer for it as well, including children (Chip), who I am sure had nothing to do with the prince/beast's cruelty. That's pretty low for a magical and supposedly good natured character. And if the spell wasn't broken, they would be cursed forever and their humanity lost. So, this song describes the enchantress as someone who is not at all what she seems and that she doesn't care in the slightest for those she curses. She disguises her own cruelty with magic and speeches of love. Considering the beast's castle is the middle of freaking nowhere and surrounded by black forests infested with wolves, she doubts the spell would ever be broken. In fact, I think it's likely she didn't want the spell to be broken, but gave the beast a very slim chance to do so. Yeah, she has some mercy, but for the most part, I think the Enchantress' true nature is, to an extent, darker than she lets on. And she is not sorry for those who fail to break the curses cast on them. I’ll be honest to anyone listening, this song is AI generated.
