If you don't want to lower it that much, measure with a vernier caliper and choose a reel seat. A plate seat may be easier to use. Also, the seat should be installed facing the opposite direction to spinning (threads toward the tip of the rod). Guides With the exception of one, the guides listed in the materials list in the video will line up nicely if you make minor adjustments (sanding or applying glue). The guide in question is a CCTAOG21, which is used for the thickest rod. It actually needs a guide a few millimeters thicker, but the store I bought it from only had guides up to 21mm, so I bought one anyway, even though I wasn't sure what to do. I removed all the plastic from the CCTAOG21, leaving only the metal. Miraculously, it fit perfectly on the metal fittings on the tip of my Holiday Iso rod, so I glued it directly to it.
