‘Breaking promises is hard work’: Albanese called out for yet another ‘porky’
Sky News host James Macpherson calls out Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for yet another “porky”. Eleven months ago, standing before Indigenous leaders at the Garma Festival in the Northern Territory, Mr Albanese made a commitment to come back every year for as long as he’s in office. But today, the prime minister explained on ABC radio that he’s too tired to attend. “I get it, breaking promises is hard work, and he hasn't had a break from lying all year,” Mr Macpherson said. “It takes real stamina to remember which pledge you're currently abandoning. “But seriously? After promising to be at Garma every year, the very next year, he's too tired?”
