✅In this video you will learn the difference between SIMPLE RULE OF THREE and COMPOUND RULE OF THREE. The rule of three is so named because it has three values in the statement and the fourth value is sought, and it is compound because it has more than two quantities. 🔸To solve a simple rule of three problem, you must first identify whether the quantities involved are directly or inversely proportional. 🔸To solve a compound rule of three problem, you must first identify the quantities involved and which one refers to the unknown term. Next, you must compare the quantities two by two, always taking as a base the quantity containing the unknown term. This way, it's possible to identify whether the quantities involved are directly or inversely proportional. Then, you must write the ratio for each quantity and place the quantity with the unknown term on the left side of the equation. The other ratios, which are on the right side, must be multiplied.
