This guided meditation explores peace through three simple images: a summer garden in full bloom, a cloth drying in the sunlight, and a leaf floating effortlessly on a stream. Through relaxation, mindfulness, and direct observation, the practice invites the mind to stop forcing experience and begin understanding it. Drawing on early Buddhist teachings, the meditation explores causes and conditions, non-resistance (avirodhatā), the recognition of non-anger, non-hatred, and non-delusion, and the insights that led to the Buddha's awakening.
