Pasture renovation at Dakota Lakes Research Farm
This is a virtual tour of a pasture that was previously dominated by exotic cool-season grasses like smooth brome and crested wheatgrass. The Dakota Lakes staff conducted an experiment that included herbicides, drilling native warm-season tallgrasses (such as big bluestem), and high-intensity grazing in an effort to rehabilitate the pasture. Take the tour to learn which techniques worked!
