In the exposition you will find the best of the collection of cars, motorcycles and bicycles and extraordinary exhibits from the history of aviation. You will get a glimpse into the history of railway and shipping transport and the development of fire extinguishers. An exposition of the history of transport in the so-called "transport hall" is dedicated to the memory of pioneers on land, in water and in the air, which traditionally attracts the most attention of visitors. Each of the departments can boast of unforgettable exhibits with a colorful history. On display are primarily exhibits that were produced in the territory of the current Czech Republic or neighboring Slovakia, or have a common history with these countries. The development of automobile transport is captured on the ground floor, the history of motorcycling in the first gallery, the history of aeronautics (aviation) in the second gallery, and the third gallery is dedicated to the history of cycling and, to a lesser extent, Czech (Czechoslovakian) river and sea transport. The exposition shows in separate stories the overall historical development of automobile, motorcycle, bicycle, air and ship transport, and in shorter excursions also sections from the history of railway transport and the development of firefighting equipment in the territory of the Czech Republic, both with machines manufactured here and imported from foreign and operated on our territory. The domestic production of means of transport is very long, extremely colorful and in many of its episodes remarkable even from a global point of view. Let us recall the NW President car from 1898, the first car produced in our territory, or the Kašpar JK airplane from 1911, on which Ing. Jan Kašpar made the first long-distance flight in the history of Czech aviation. The Tatra 80 car from 1935, used by President T. G. Masaryk, and the Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk.IXE fighter plane from 1945 from the aviation collection, with which Czechoslovak pilots fighting for the country's freedom in Great Britain, returned to their liberated homeland are worthy of attention. And we could go on and on with this list. The transport hall also includes some railway exhibits, including locomotives and a saloon car, but these are not part of the NTM Transport Museum, but a separate NTM Railway Museum. If you are looking for a relatively quiet green place to stroll and beautiful views, Petřínské sady is the right place. Here you will find places such as the Hunger Wall, the Seminary Garden (founded in the 17th century) or the Nebozízek Garden, which are designated as cultural monuments of the Czech Republic. It is often a place for lovers or those who want to walk their four-legged pets or just clear their heads. There is a cable car leading up to Petřín through the Petřín Gardens.
