Todd McFarlane is the creator of Spawn, a co-founder of Image Comics, the man who revolutionized the look of Spider-Man with his dynamic artwork and oh yeah, the founder and owner of McFarlane Toys - the company that produces some of the most highly detailed and innovative action figures on the planet. So when I got the opportunity to sit down and pick the brain of the most important person in the comics and action figure world - I jumped at the chance! McFarlane was incredibly open in this interview - he discussed the origins of the Marvel Collectibles line being produced by McFarlane Toys and went into some of the creative struggles in producing highly accurate comic sculpts. He shared his desire to make Marvel action figures and the challenges that stand in the way of that. We talked about how to succeed not just in comics and in action figures, but in life.
