In Episode 5 of Route Reviews, I revisit Route 363, a long‑lost bus route that once connected Totteridge, High Wycombe and Penn before disappearing from the network in the early 2000s. To bring this forgotten route back to life, I retrace its full length using AEC Routemaster RML2440 — a bus type that genuinely worked the 363 during its original operating years. Routemasters first entered service on the 363 in 1966, and continued to operate the route until the last examples were withdrawn from the High Wycombe area in the 1980s. RML2440 itself was based at High Wycombe depot from 1975 until the depot closed in 1977, meaning it would have worked this route during its time in service. In this video, I explore the former 363 in detail: the places it served, how it fitted into the local network, and why it eventually vanished.
