As a doctor who came to Germany from Türkiye 8 years ago, I'm telling you the challenges I faced in my first year without embellishment: social isolation, financial difficulties, learning German, and finding a place to live. This video is for anyone who wants to become a doctor, work in Germany, or live in Germany. In those two years between graduation and starting work, I worked as a courier and borrowed money for the first time in my life. I learned German by calling customer service and talking to salespeople in stores, having fun in the process. I'm sharing those tactics in the video too. I'm also comparing purchasing power from 8 years ago to today: a car for 450 Euros, a furnished apartment for 2400 Euros, milk for 55 cents. Prices are different today, but for those who come with a plan, Germany is still a fair country.
