THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANTS of JAPAN 【Yokohama Chinatown Popular Lunch Series 183】    • 横浜中華街   Restaurant Name: Koukoufuku Cuisine: Cantonese and Taiwanese Cuisine Access: Kanteibyo Street Order: Shredded Pork Stir-fry with Black Pepper Sanma Noodles & Half Fried Rice This is the third time I've introduced this restaurant. I'm always looking for cheap and delicious lunches in Chinatown. I ordered the blackboard lunch special that I see every time I go. It's only 800 yen! There's also a 990 yen (tax included) set, so if you want to eat dim sum as well, order that. Be prepared to be stuffed! The seasoning is a little on the strong side, but it's Cantonese style, so it goes well with rice. The fried rice, for example, is seasoned mildly to match the rice, which is impressive. The prices of the regular menu are also easy on the wallet. There are still restaurants that are working hard. I want to support them. Overall Impression: The blackboard lunch menu starts from almost 800 yen. They're doing a great job. The voluminous set menus are 990 yen, making it a cost-effective restaurant. I'll include it in my ranking of recommended lunch restaurants. I hope their efforts bear fruit. Restaurant Interior/Service: As always, the staff's service is good. They seemed busy this time. That's a good thing. It gets a little crowded during lunchtime. However, the quality of service doesn't drop. The tea is always delicious.
