02 V70 rear brake light bulb/socket alignment configuration

This just shows the position of the bulb and socket position when installing the socket back into the taillight assembly. After the bulb is put back into the plastic socket, position the smallest tab a few degrees to the right of the 12 o'clock position when re-inserting it back into the metal frame that holds the socket in place and making sure it is flat against the metal, turn clockwise to the right to lock the socket into position. *Note This bulb socket is made out of plastic and eventually melts when it gets too hot. There is another video showing the procedure to solder connection wires from the metal frame to the bulb socket that might be an alternative if the plastic has melted and the bulb socket no longer makes solid contact with the metal frame.
