Amazing Chinese Art- Yixing Teapot/ Clay Teapot

Located in Wuxi city, Jiangsu province, Yixing is the only place in the world having purple clay for teapot. Yixing teapot is the name card of the small city. In this city, most of the people make a living by doing teapot. A teapot is not only a container for tea, but also an artwork for people in Yixing; so the teapots they made have much value of enshrinement. With the time goes by, the clay in Yixing is getting less and less, and now, Chinese government has unified the exploitation of the clay, prohibiting exploiting randomly. In this video, Ms.Fan, a master of Yixing Teapot with 30 years of experience, told us some information about Yixing Clay and Yixing teapot. She also showed us how to make teapots in her workshop. After that, we were taken to see the Dragon Kiln, which is famous in Yixing. Though the dragon kiln is not used to fire teapots, but it has fired many kinds of pots and is meaningful for Yixing.
