VM migration from VMware to HPE VM Morpheus Essentials with Veeam

In this video I describe the entire proces of how you can use Veeam Backup & Restore to migrate a VMware VM towards HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, including the conversion from a VMDK based VM to QCOW2, typical for a KVM based hypervisor. The same procedure can be used for migrations towards Proxmox or Nutanix for instance. The gotcha from this video is a typical pitfall with migrations to KVM-based hypervisors, being the feared BSOD after the migration/restore telling Inaccessible Boot Device error. This is because the VirtIO drivers, required for KVM and QEMU, were not injected before the migration. In this video I show the entire procedure which is also described in the HPE Morheus VM Essentials Migration Guide, and in the VM Essentials Migration Guide by Veeam.
