Sekar Djepun is a Tokyo-based group, that performs traditional Balinese gamelan music. Founded in 1982, it started as a Balinese Gamelan research club of Kunitachi College of Music, which eventually became an independent group organized by the graduates. Since then, Sekar Djepun has been performing gamelan music in various events, collaborating with not only Japanese, but also Balinese outstanding dancers.
