1200 kilometri solo per questa strada: Campo Imperatore in moto

It was only a matter of time before I drove these kilometers of asphalt: the ones that appear on the maps as SS17bis. This name, however, doesn't do justice to the place it's located in, which in fact hides a wonderful gem. Dolomites? Switzerland? France? Not at all, I've finally moved to southern Italy. In fact, I talk far too often about Alpine roads in my content, and I've been told many times that there's plenty to do in the opposite direction. It's not that I had any doubts, but it was actually time to see it with my own eyes. The road I drove was what I needed to understand that whether I go north or south, I can have fun (as long as I cross the Po Valley 😂). So where did I go? I went to Campo Imperatore, in the Gran Sasso National Park, in the heart of the Abruzzo Apennines. A territory that, once you visit, you'll understand why it's called Little Tibet. A plateau, the highest in the Apennines, offering breathtaking views and a magnificent road that crosses them. In this video, I'll tell you about the 1,200-kilometer adventure I traveled in two and a half days to reach it and beyond. Want to travel with me?
