ASTM D1388 Fabric Stiffness Bending Fixture

The ASTM D1388 Fabric Stiffness Bending Fixture is a simple device for measuring the stiffness of fabrics. The sample is loaded into the holding fixture and slowly moved and extended out until it starts bending under its own weight. Once the fabric has extended out far enough, it will touch the angled bar at either 41.5 degrees or 45 degrees and signal the end of the test.
