On June 2nd, 2026, the day after my previous climb of Mount Adatara, I tackled yet another mountain! Its name is "Issaikyo-zan," a mountain with a name that evokes images of asceticism, but it didn't seem too difficult. What I was most looking forward to was the spectacular view of Goshikinuma (Five-Colored Pond), also known as "The Witch's Eye," from the top. Would I be able to reach it after two consecutive days of climbing? Thanks to a local couple I met along the way, it was a fun hike filled with conversation. The only downside was that I had to give up on circling the crater rim of Mount Azuma-Kofuji due to lack of energy.
