Not going to lie, this wasn't cheap—€352 ($385 USD) plus $158 shipping—but since I couldn’t find this tank for sale in the U.S., I had to order from a foreign distributor. Why Upgrade? The factory 4.49-gallon (17L) tank is solid, but for serious adventure riding—especially for tackling long, remote routes like the Trans Taiga Road—extra fuel is a game-changer. Weight Breakdown: Here’s what you gain (or lose) with this tank swap: ✅ New 6.07-gallon (23L) tank weight: 13 lbs (5.9 kg) ✅ Stock 4.49-gallon (17L) tank weight: 15 lbs (6.8 kg) ✅ Additional 1.58 gallons (6L) of fuel weight: 9.7 lbs (4.4 kg) 📌 Total weight added to the bike: 7.7 lbs (3.49 kg) Honestly, I could stand to lose 20 lbs myself, so it all evens out! 😆 This might be the first full install of this tank on YouTube, so let’s see how it fits, functions, and whether it's the perfect upgrade for long-distance ADV rides.
