The Bandai crash occurred 54 years ago on July 3, 1971. A Toa Domestic Airlines (later Japan Air System) YS-11 passenger plane crashed into Yokotsudake in Nanae Town while en route to Hakodate Airport, killing 68 passengers and crew. A memorial monument was erected near the site the year after the accident. What kind of road is the Yokotsu Road that leads there? And what kind of accident was the Bandai crash?
