This Diesel Truck Just Did Something Nobody Has Ever Done at UCC

This is what it took to chase a perfect score at the most brutal diesel competition on the calendar. Drag strip, dyno, and sled pull, same truck, same weekend, no exceptions, and this time it's our own truck and our own run on the line. UCC is invite only for a reason. You have three days to prove your truck on three completely different events, and a perfect run nets you 1000 points each for a possible 3000 total. Nobody has ever swept it. This video follows our build through drag race day, the swap into dyno trim, and straight into the sled pull setup, all back to back with almost no room to fix mistakes along the way. Drag day didn't go to plan right away. A snapped 35 spline input on Thursday's test and tune forced a transmission swap before the truck ever made its first official pass. Once it was buttoned back up, we ran a soft launch 5.14, good enough to sit in third behind some serious competition. The second and final pass closed that gap with a 4.90, just off the 4.88 target but still deep into record territory for this platform. From there it was straight into dyno trim. Swapping nitrous, locking out the rear suspension, checking valve lash, and dropping in a different transmission built specifically for dyno duty instead of the drag strip. The motor responded by laying down 3620 horsepower, a new UCC record at the time it happened. Inconel valves and the power driven induction hardened heads held up exactly like they were supposed to under that kind of cylinder pressure. Then it was straight into the sled pull rig, where a last minute hitch angle dispute almost cost us the run before it even started. A measurement right on the edge of the 25 degree legal limit meant cutting and modifying the hitch on site just to remove any chance of a protest. If you want the full build details behind this truck, the link to that video is in the description below. This one is all about putting everything on the line and seeing what survives. This truck runs on parts we trust enough to put our own name on. Check out everything Power Driven Diesel has to offer at the link below.
