The Smurf series! The Rangers upset the heavily favored Flyers with a three game series sweep, the final game a 9-3 blowout at MSG. Ranger broadcast, sorry about the poor quality video. The Flyers played it rough, taking runs at the Ranger goalie Ed Mio early, nearly causing a bench clearing brawl. Slashes and spears that would earn multiple game suspensions in today's NHL.
