Filmed back in October 2025, the garden was finally starting to slow down for the season, which meant fewer jobs and a chance to give my front door pots a proper autumn refresh. I took out the summer begonias (they were incredible this year!) and replaced them with spring bulbs, then topped everything with mixed lilac violas that will keep blooming right through autumn, winter, and into spring. These pots won’t need touched again until April or May, which feels like such a win. The stackable containers in the front garden are thriving too — the coloured heathers are absolutely glowing, and the violas on top are in full bloom, putting on the loveliest display. I’m really hoping all the spring bulbs come through as planned… I can’t wait to see what pops up. I’d love to know what you plant in autumn. When do you start winding things down for winter? And tell me about your bird feeders — do you have as many as I do? What wildlife visits your garden? Share your autumn routines below, I love hearing what everyone else is up to.
