Trinkgeld in den USA: 20% sind normal – aber jetzt wird es unverschämt

Tipping in the US has always been a topic of conversation – but in my opinion, it's become completely over the top. These days, you're asked for a tip almost everywhere: in restaurants, when getting coffee at the counter, when picking up food, and even for simple transactions without service. I've lived in the US for many years and I see it very clearly: In restaurants, tipping is normal because it's often a significant part of the waiters' income. But when I'm just getting a coffee or picking up food myself at the counter, I simply don't think a 15%, 20%, or even 25% tip is justified anymore. In this video, I'll explain: when tipping is actually expected in the US, when you should tip, and when you, as a tourist or visitor, shouldn't let yourself be pressured. This is especially important for Germans because the system in the US is quite different from that in Germany. Let me know in the comments: Do you think the tipping system in the US is fair – or is it completely excessive these days? ``` 👉 Subscribe to my channel so you don't miss any future videos about life in the USA.
