Catching Chokka (Squid) off East London

In this video we make use of the cold water current to catch Squid (Chokka, Calamari) off a small boat near East London in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The Squid occasionally venture further North than normal to lay their eggs over large shingle patches so that the fry will drift in the current into optimal feeding water by the time they are ready to feed. Using light braided line and Squid Jigs we first locate the Chokka on the fishfinder then catch our quota.
