This station is the record holder for the deepest underground transit stop in North America, sitting approximately 260 feet (79m) underground. How do people go between trains & the surface? This station has 4 high speed 1200fpm (6.1m/s) traction elevators, 2 at each end, originally installed by Montgomery-KONE in 1998 & given a generic modernization as part of a station renovation in 2019.
