I’m Building My Dream Memade Wardrobe | Sewing a Chambray Shirt & Pants

Welcome to Episode 1 of The Memade Wardrobe Project! ✨ For years, I’ve been sewing one garment at a time, but lately I’ve been thinking differently about the clothes I make. Instead of choosing projects at random, I’m focusing on intentionally building a Memade wardrobe filled with pieces that fit my style, my lifestyle, and the way I actually get dressed every day. In this first episode, I’m sewing two versatile chambray staples: a button-down top I’ve made before (with a one modification based on what I learned from my first version)(New Look 6697) and a coordinating pair of pants (Simplicity 8558). These pieces are designed to work together, mix and match with other garments in my closet, and serve as the foundation for a wardrobe I’ll reach for again and again.
