From the top, you can see the entire city, feel the mountain chill, and understand why this place is so special to Bogotanos. Monserrate isn't just a viewpoint; it's also a place of faith, pilgrimage, and tradition. We visited the Gold Museum, one of the most important places to understand Colombia's pre-Hispanic history. There, you can see gold pieces, ceramics, and ancient artifacts that showcase the cultural richness of the indigenous peoples and their connection to nature, rituals, and the spiritual world. We also explored downtown Bogotá, where the streets, churches, plazas, and historic buildings tell part of the story of the Colombian capital. Walking through this area is like experiencing a blend of the colonial past, the city's daily life, and Bogotá's modern energy.
