Synopsis Frank Sobotka’s body is pulled from the harbor, and with his death, the entire world of the docks begins to collapse. Under pressure from his father, Nick Sobotka turns himself in and finally names names—identifying the Greek and pointing detectives toward Serge and Choksey. Bunk and Beadie Russell uncover key surveillance footage from Philadelphia, forcing Serge to confess how the women in the container died. He flips on Vondas and the Greek—but it’s too late. With help from FBI agent Koutris, they’ve already fled the country. Fitzhugh realizes Koutris protected the Greek in exchange for counterterrorism intel. As the smuggling pipeline is handed off to Proposition Joe, the union itself is destroyed—shut down after voting Sobotka in as treasurer. Meanwhile, political players like Senator Clay Davis move forward with luxury redevelopment plans at Silo Point, erasing the waterfront’s working-class legacy. Elsewhere, Brother Mouzone realizes Stringer Bell manipulated him, setting up a storm of tension that will spill into the next season. Herc and Carver, demoralized after being sidelined, transfer to Major Colvin’s unit. Prez nearly loses his job after an altercation with Valchek, but Daniels steps in to defend him, while Valchek receives one last photo of his missing surveillance van—now hilariously parked in Australia. On the street, Bubbles and Johnny are arrested and trade information on Stringer and Joe to walk free. McNulty and Greggs catch the two meeting and convince Daniels to shift the detail’s attention from the docks to West Baltimore’s drug trade. In the final scene, Nick Sobotka—now in witness protection—stands behind a chain-link fence, watching the docks fade into history. As the rain begins to fall, he turns and walks away, closing one chapter of Baltimore’s broken system.
