Adventureland (Iowa) - Full Amusement Park Tour! - Come for The Underground, Stay for The Monster!

With a Disney inspired entryway and main street, Adventureland Park in Altoona, Iowa is a LOT more than a Disneyland knock-off. This charming midwest amusement park surprised me in a lot of great ways with their atmosphere and their ride line up, especially the quality of the various roller coasters on offer (with The Monster being a clear standout but The Underground being wonderfully unique). This was my first time ever visiting, and what brought me here originally was wanting to go on the newly updated Underground, the world's ONLY indoor wooden roller coaster! It honestly feels more like a dark ride than a roller coaster, but that is exactly what drew me to it. And while I was very happy with that experience, it's The Monster that is really sticking with me. Many will say that it is easily the best roller coaster in the state and they aren't wrong. But I must say, The Underground has a uniqueness that really can't be found anywhere else.
