WATCH: King Charles and Queen Camilla Open First RHS Sandringham Flower Show

Watch live as the King and Queen arrived by horse-drawn carriage for the first RHS flower show to be held at a royal residence. Charles and Camilla toured the gardens and floral displays at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, presenting awards and meeting exhibitors, schoolchildren and members of the public. The Queen praised a bee-themed garden created by pupils from Ingoldisthorpe Church of England Primary School. The Queen Bee, made using upcycled containers and tin can bees, was described by Camilla as “absolutely charming”. The King also visited the RHS Royal Legacy Garden, which was designed by Catherine MacDonald in collaboration with Charles, and declared it “fantastic”. During a walkabout, Charles joked with a man who said they were the same age, replying: “It gets much worse, doesn’t it.” He later encouraged schoolchildren to grow and eat their own vegetables, telling them: “Have you tried spinach? It’s the best thing in the world.” The RHS Sandringham Flower Show runs from July 22 to 26, with the next event at the estate planned for 2029.
