"It's not enough to feed someone, you have to restore their dignity..." 🤍 Can you change someone's world with a single Easter breakfast? Looking at what happened on Holy Saturday in the heart of Bielsko-Biała, we definitely answer: YES. As you know, we began our mission on Good Friday, delivering nearly 400 Easter parcels. But we felt that those in our care needed more than just a packed lunch. They needed to feel important to someone. That they belonged. That's why on Holy Saturday, at 9:00 a.m., in the square at Legionów and Piłsudskiego Streets, something happened that will forever be etched in our memories. After last year's tentative attempts to go outdoors, this year we organized the FIRST OFFICIAL Easter Breakfast outdoors. And it was a success that brought tears to many of our eyes. Why was it so important? 🌷 Because we didn't line up for soup. We set up dozens of chairs. We covered the tables with beautiful, elegant tablecloths. We made sure that the mazurek cakes, salads, and fruit looked just like they would on your home tables. Because the dignity of another person begins right there – in attention to detail, in aesthetics, in showing: "You deserve the most beautiful things." Our St. Brother Albert Aid Society, with the invaluable support of Caritas, created a space where divisions disappeared. There was no "us" and "them." There was us – cracking eggs together, praying, and talking about hope. Words that touch the heart... ❤️ Our President, Michał Guzdek, who has been tending to every tablecloth and every dish since dawn, summed it up best: "Our mission is to be there for everyone – especially when they need it most. We cannot ignore suffering. Every package, every gesture, every gathering at the shared table is a sign that love for one's neighbor is still alive and has the real power to transform the world." He added with emotion: "Today, no one stood in line – today we sat together. We wanted this breakfast to be just like the ones in our homes. The aesthetics, the white tablecloths, the shared meal – this is a message: Your dignity comes first." We thank all the volunteers who poured their hearts into preparing these tables. We thank Caritas for their shared prayers and help. But above all, we thank our beneficiaries – for your trust, for your handshakes, and for allowing us to be a part of your Easter. This breakfast proved that no one in Bielsko-Biała has to be alone. That love has the power to transform reality. We invite you to watch the video from this morning.
