旧瀬棚町より大きな町だった❗️せたな町北檜山区の商店街を散歩 - 2024年4月

This time, I walked around the shopping street in Kitahiyama Ward, Setana Town, Hokkaido, Japan. This Kitahiyama Ward was formerly Kitahiyama Town. In 2005, it merged with Setana Town and Taisei Town to form Setana Town. Until 1987, Kitahiyama Station on the Setana Line was located here. The station building is now used as a bus terminal (05:28). The shops are spread over about 700m along Route 229. Until around 1965, the population was 10,000, so this shopping street must have been quite lively then. There was a popular restaurant on this shopping street, and it was the only place where many people were coming and going. The video was shot on a Sunday afternoon, so many shops were closed and seemed deserted except for the restaurant.
