Slipknot Reaction. My Pain Reaction. Welcome to The Anti-Valentine's Day Playlist Auditions. First up, My Pain by Slipknot. Will this song make the playlist? Stay tuned for more anti-love songs for the rest of February. What is this about anyway? I've never been a fan of V-Day, which isn't that strange. Many see this as a made-up holiday to sell chocolates and flowers. But I also think love itself is a crock. So I use this month to completely crap on love in general, with this playlist serving as the soundtrack of February. The playlist is an ever-evolving thing. The only songs that I can remember from the very first list are Love Stinks (which is the first track every year) and I Hate Everything About You. My 2021 version was my best yet, so many of those tracks have carried over into this year. I already have close to 25 songs before even starting these auditions. But there are no rules here. As long as the song depicts love as painful in any way, it has a shot. If I end up with 50 songs, that's cool.
