So I'm Building This! | Pugsley Yard Begins With my larger 'O' gauge layouts Newton Grove 19F and NOTLOB, currently somewhere between the UK and Australia aboard a container ship, I still wanted a project to get stuck into. So welcome to Pugsley Yard. This is a brand-new 4ft x 1ft 'O' gauge micro layout that aims to prove you don't need a huge room, a huge budget, or a huge layout to enjoy 'O' gauge modelling. In this first episode, I: ✅ How and Why you CAN afford 'O' gauge ✅ Explain the concept behind Pugsley Yard ✅ Design the track plan ✅ Discuss the operational possibilities ✅ Lay the track onto the baseboard The aim is to create a compact layout that's fun to operate, visually interesting and packed with atmosphere. The big question now is... What should Pugsley Yard actually be? A coal merchant? A goods depot? An industrial shunting yard? A small locomotive servicing point? A scrapyard?
