Returning to Spain: Breakdowns, Overgrown Vines & Preparing for Wildfire Season

After spending nearly three months away, we're finally back home on our little farm in rural Spain... but our return didn't exactly go to plan. After several breakdowns on our journey back to Spain, we arrived to find nature had completely taken over. Our grapevines had exploded with growth, and while we were away, the grasses and weeds around the house had grown rapidly before drying out completely in the summer heat. With devastating wildfires affecting areas close to our home in Almería, another heatwave on the way, and people we know personally impacted by these fires, preparing our home suddenly became far more important than simply tidying the land.
