"Cuna de Artistas" Así continúa mi recorrido por Chihuahua.

We descend into the depths of Chihuahua, to its roots. From Saucillo, we begin the journey to Camargo, a 43-km journey that traces a path full of history and promise. Upon arrival, we are greeted by the imposing sculpture of Lucha Villa, "La Grandota de Camargo." Born in 1936 as Luz Elena Ruiz Bejarano, Lucha became one of the most emblematic voices of the ranchero genre and national cinema, achieving hits such as La media vuelta and a prestigious Ariel for Mecánica nacional. Next to it stands the symbolic Lighthouse of the Stars, erected in August 2010 as a guide for the heart that misses the path home. Standing 23 meters tall and with a viewing platform to the sky, it is a light for those who look to the horizon, seeking return. Camargo is a land of contrasts: with almost 49,500 inhabitants, and vast plains that connect with the desert of more than 16,000 km². A municipality marked by traditions, art, and stories that beat behind every corner. Saucillo and Camargo: two towns united by the road, different in the hundreds of fields traveled, but the same at heart. One smaller perhaps, but with a great spirit, full of memories and paths that still teach us. This trip—like any good story—reminds us that Chihuahua still has surprises to tell.
