This concept prioritized a functional kitchen and bath, while providing plenty of seating for dining and working indoors when the weather is disagreeable. The other driver for the van design was the urge to move away from a bed and garage hogging the entire back half of the interior. Why have a bed taking up half your space all day when you only sleep for 8 hours? The solution to this was to create a queen size murphy bed that hides during the day, thus creating twice as much functional space during the day.
