⛽Sava J4 1000. El popular furgón español de 1978. #furgonetas

The van featured in this report is a 1978 Sava J4 1000 with original paint. The Sava J4 was a van manufactured in the Spanish city of Valladolid by the Sociedad Anónima de Vehículos Automóviles (SAVA) between 1965 and 1989, under license from the British Morris Motor Company. It is derived from the British Morris Commercial J4 model, also sold first as the Austin J4 and Morris J4, and later as the BMC J4. After SAVA's acquisition by ENASA, it was sold under the name Pegaso SAVA J4, and in the 1980s, simply as the Pegaso J4. With the addition of the new 1800 engine in 1977, the van with the 1800 diesel engine was renamed SAVA J4 1000, and the van with the 1500 diesel engine was renamed SAVA J4 700. The "700" or "1000" designations refer to the net weight the models could carry: 700 kg or 1000 kg, depending on the engine. Mechanically, the model was improved with a modified gearbox, which allowed synchronization of first gear, eliminating the need for double clutching when downshifting; and a larger fuel tank. #chechicortes944 #classiccars #automobile #vans #savaj4 #pegaso
