hailey bieber is NOT a 'clean' girl

attn: the girls. we need to talk about the double standards in beauty. for example - why do we celebrate Hailey Bieber as the 'clean girl queen' for success with Rhode, while demonising Kylie Jenner for Kylie Cosmetics, when essentially both girls built their billion-dollar businesses off their image, lips, and influence? why is it ok for one woman (Hailey) to capitalise of a beauty standard and aesthetic - but not the other? hailey beiber is not actually a 'clean girl' (because wtf even is that aesthetic, very problematic imo) - she's just a girl. in business, winning at it. but that doesnt make her clean, and it doesnt make kylie dirty. I dont think either of these ladies is a villain. they've both created epic brands off the back of their influence and fame - and yet the way we've categorised these women as products: Kylie, framed as fake and exploitative, 'profiting off insecurities', versus Hailey, celebrated as effortless, aspirational, chic and naturally beautiful. The products aren’t radically different. Their business model isn’t either. The difference is packaging though, both of the products AND the women themselves. From Kylie’s lip kits and Forbes’ “self-made billionaire” (cough, fake) moment, to Hailey’s Rhode takeover and billion-dollar sale, lets unpack how society decides who gets to be the villain and who gets to be the saint. IMO it’s not about the serum or the peptide lip treatment... or the actual products themselves at all - but about class, PR, and the illusion of “natural” beauty. Let’s be honest: both women are smart, both women are successful, and both are selling us a fantasy. The real question is, why are we so eager to hate one but celebrate the other? lets play nice in the comments lol
