The cycle arose as a response to the events in Bucha. The first part - perhaps it will be a string orchestra and piano, and then attacca Lacrimosa, sung by the cappella choir, but without words, or playing a string orchestra. When the choir sings without words of this prayer, this is exactly the situation, the response is weak, of course, insignificant, to the horrors that these inhumans did in Bucha ... And when you imagine and see all this, even these words - Agnus Dei, Dies Irae - are somehow inappropriate to say, they are too solemn, too noble, perhaps ... There are simply no words, some kind of numbness. But in this numbness Lacrimosa still sounds. After it, Pastoral is like hope, good morning music ... " * Валентин Сильвестров. Цикл виник як відгук на події в Бучі. Перша частина - можливо, це буде струнний оркестр і фортепіано, а потім attacca Lacrimosa, яку співає хор а капела, але без слів, або грає струнний оркестр. Коли хор співає без слів цієї молитви, це якраз ситуація, відгук - слабий, звичайно, нікчемний, на ті жахіття, які в Бучі робили ці нелюди... І коли це все уявляєш і бачиш, навіть ці слова - Agnus Dei, Dies Irae - якось недоречно промовляти, вони надто урочисті, надто шляхетні мабуть...Просто немає слів, оніміння якесь. Але в цьому онімінні все одно звучить Lacrimosa. Після неї Пастораль - як надія, музика доброго ранку..."
