The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is a parallel twin retro-styled motorcycle introduced by Royal Enfield in 2018. It is the first modern twin cylinder motorcycle developed by the company. In 2017, the company revealed a new motorcycle reviving the classic RE 1960s name "Interceptor" For 2021, Royal Enfield has given its 650 twins a fresh set of colours and a few additional bits and bobs to spruce them up. While the changes are merely cosmetic, the asking price has shot up to Rs 2.75 lakh for the standard colour options of the Interceptor 650, which is roughly Rs 6,000 more than the 2020 model. That’s a lot of money for new shades. Thankfully, the bike remains the most affordable multi-cylinder bike that you can buy in the country and it still offers a soulful riding experience. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is now priced from Rs 2,75,467 (ex-showroom India, barring Karnataka and Kerala) for the standard colour options (Orange Crush, Canyon Red and Ventura Blue). The custom colours (Baker Express, Downtown Drag and Sunset Strip) and the Mark Two chrome colour options now carry a sticker price of Rs 2,83,593 and Rs 2,97,134, respectively. Thus, the resulting price premium for each colour variant is Rs 5,703, Rs 5,861, and Rs 6,127. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 BS6 continues to use the same 647.9cc air-cooled and fuel-injected powerplant. It delivers the same 47PS and 52Nm as its BS4 predecessor. It gets a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 BS6 continues to use the same underpinnings as before. It gets a dual-cradle frame with telescopic forks and dual gas-charged shock absorbers. Braking is via a 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS. It gets 18-inch aluminium wheels shod with Ceat Zoom Cruze tyres.
