It took 7 years, but in 2017 Nintendo responded to the outcry for more Metroid. At their E3 presentation Metroid Prime 4 was announced for the Nintendo Switch, but what I'm interested in right now is the OTHER Metroid game they revealed on the same day: an official remake of Metroid II.
