Weird West Retrospective A Strange And Charming Tale

Hello all you appreciators of niche youtube channels that talk about niche games or just whatever the hell they feel like at the moment. Today we are riding off to the Wild West, or should I say the Weird West. Today I will be dissecting and taking a deep dive into the first game made by Raphael Colantonio’s new indie game company, Wolfeye Studios. Weird West is an isometric twin stick shooter with rpg elements that also just happens to be one of those rare and extraordinary games called an Immersive Sim. Thanks to lots of small systems that interact with each other in different ways the game has a high degree of player agency and freedom. During the game we take control of a mysterious passenger as it inhabits the bodies of five different people, a bounty hunter, a mutated pig man, a native of the Lost Fire Nations Tribe, a werewolf and an Onirist Witch. We will explore each of these characters' stories before delving into the deeper thread that connects them all the larger philosophical implications therein.
