OVIFORMIA – Hablamos de nosotros (Pista Libre)

From one of the first videos we uploaded to this channel several decades ago. I award the trio Oviformia, also known as Oviformia Sci, the prize for BEST music video of 80s Spanish pop, a genre emerging from Radio 3 and pioneering TV programs like Pista Libre. They deserve this distinction for their intentions, attitude, and their desire to embrace a modern world that was knocking on the door of a Madrid that, until then, had been dormant and outdated (the images of the city speak for themselves; the proof is in the pudding). Unfortunately, and although it seems inconceivable, this band never released an album, which is quite strange because the quality of their compositions stood out compared to other similar acts of the time (1981-82). This was attested to by the maestro Jesús Ordovás, who, from his Hawaiian paradise in Prado del Rey, turned "Mi Teletipo" into a semi-hit in the effervescent independent scene fueled by his historic radio program. First with demos, and later with singles and EPs, they would change our musical history forever, and at the same time, the lives of some of us who were lucky enough to experience that cultural earthquake in real time, knowing that an unprecedented revolution was underway, led by young people of our own generation. Oviformia consisted of Germán Espada, Clara Morán, and Luis Prosper. Program: PISTA LIBRE. Broadcast of April 17, 1982. From RTVE Play. AI-enhanced video, but not upscaled. New audio from the band's existing demos, kindly provided by Luis Prosper. PS: Here's the original video uploaded to this channel in 2009, in case you want to read the comments.
