Sanibel Island 05 21 2026

This is the first drone video I took while on Sanibel Island in May, 2026. Pim and I got there on May 1 and a pretty strong storm, mostly just all wind, drove in a LOT of seaweed onto the beach. It took nearly the entire month before the sea finally covered it all over with sand. So not only was the water pretty murky from being disturbed, but there was a milky looking cloud around the seaweed that was decomposing. So yet another year I didn't get to do any snorkeling. And not going into the water beyond just barely reaching my knees. So anyway, the video shows the later stages of the seaweed infestation during the obligatory flight down to the lighthouse and back. I ALWAYS do drone videos at 4K/60fps if at all possible. Just makes for a much better viewing experience. For me, anyway.
