John Cooper 998cc Mini – 0-60 Test & Full Road Review Can a 998cc Classic Mini with a genuine John Cooper conversion take on the legendary 1275? In this video, I take my Racing Green Mini out for a full road test, including a 0–60 mph acceleration run — and compare the performance to the bigger bore 1275cc Mini. I’ll share how this tuned 998 drives in the real world — from twisty B-roads to motorway speeds — and whether it's really as quick as it feels. 📌 Video Chapters: 00:39 – Intro 01:33 – Walkaround & exterior details 03:01 – Under the bonnet (John Cooper conversion) 03:55 – Interior tour 07:00 – Exhaust note (classic A-Series sound!) 07:44 – Road test: driving impressions 12:30 – 0–60 mph acceleration run 15:25 – Suspension, cornering & handling feel 21:00 – Cruising at motorway speeds If you're into Classic Minis, performance comparisons, or just want to know what a properly set-up 998cc can really do, this one's for you! 🔧 Car Specs: 998cc A-Series engine Genuine John Cooper conversion Racing Green Mini with performance upgrades 👍 Like, comment, and subscribe for more Classic Mini content and road tests! #ClassicMini #MiniCooper #998vs1275 #JohnCooperMini #MiniPerformance #MiniAcceleration #MiniExhaust #MiniRoadTest #MiniHandling #ClassicCarReview Project Racing Green is my 1989 Rover Mini Racing Green that has had an official John Cooper conversion fitted by John Cooper Garages.
