Today, it stands as Morocco's cultural heart, where the ancient, labyrinthine medina meets the modern, tree-lined avenues of the Gueliz district. At its center lies Jemaa el-Fnaa—a bustling, historic square alive with snake charmers, street performers, and vibrant food stalls—all framed by the iconic, 12th-century minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque and the dramatic, snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains.
