Ep. 3: Richard Heisler's G-scale Garden Railroad Layout Tour

In Episode 3 of the Sacramento Valley Garden Railway Society layout tours series, we visit Richard Heisler's garden railroad in Stockton, California. This is a narrow gauge short line railroad built around a strong backstory. Enjoy the live steam and battery powered trains while Richard shares all about history, gardening, construction, scratchbuilt and kitbashed models, and the importance of sticking to a theme. The railroad is built along a fence and doesn't take up much space, and yet offers so many possibilities for both operations and entertaining. Every hobbyist (in every scale!) can learn something from the tips Richard shares in this interview. The 40th annual National Garden Railway Convention will be in Sacramento, June 18-21, 2025. You can register at https://www.ngrc2025.org/. Come visit railroads like this one, and enjoy all the many activities that are part of a national convention!
