Durango Surprised Us!

#durango #mooreroadstotravelon 2025 Who knew Durango Colorado had so many fun things to see and do. We realized 8 days was definitely not enough time to see it all. So that this video wouldn't be too long I have divided this adventure up into 3 videos. Durango Surprised Us, A Ticket To Ride, and Mesa Verde National Park. About 4 months before we planned to be in Durango, I started looking around for Rv camping and all the places in or very close to Durango were full already for the dates we needed. So I started looking further out of town. Even though Riverwood RV Resort in Mancos was a great rv park and it was 35 to 40 minutes from Durango and the drive is over the mountains. There was no driving back to the camp if we forgot something, like the day we planned to ride our ebikes on the 7 mile trail system they have, only to find out we didn't have the keys to the bikes with us. Well now what to do? We decided to walk part of the path and that's when we came across people surfing on the river. That was a SURPRISE to us as we had never seen someone surf on a river. A few other things we hoped to do but run out of time was soaking in the hot springs, checking out some of the nightlife in the city, and we had hoped to have enough time to drive up to Ouray on one of the days. We definitely need to go back to Durango someday.
